Yorkshire-based Chartered Financial Planner Belmayne has added to its Financial Planning team and said it is looking for more planners to join the firm.
Financial Planner Nick Baines has worked in the financial sector for almost three decades and joins Belmayne from a Sheffield firm of advisers where he spent the last 18 years.
He is bringing a bank of longstanding clients with him to the firm.
The firm said it has ambitious plans for growth and is therefore looking to additional advisers to join the firm.
Mr Baines said: “It has been undeniably strange starting a new role in lockdown, but the team has been very accommodating. They have a great reputation for both their professional and charitable work, which I hope to build on going forwards.”
The firm has also recently been campaigning for a review of the FSCS funding model.
In November Belmayne enlisted their local MP to help them fight rising FSCS levy costs which have saw the firm hit with £2,000 bill increase in 2020. The company says on top of a unexpected FSCS levy bill of £2,000 in 2020 it was also hit with a 300% increase in the cost of professional indemnity insurance and a 76% increase in FSCS and FCA charges in August.
