The CISI is to run a social media campaign for World Financial Planning Day next week
Professional body the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (CISI) is to run a social media campaign to raise awareness of financial planning next week for World Financial Planning Day.
World Financial Planning Day, this year on 8 October, aims to raise awareness of the benefits of working with a Certified Financial Planner. It is run by international professional body the Financial Planning Standards Board.
It runs alongside the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ World Investor Week, between 6 and 12 October.
Chris Morris, Chartered MCSI and the CISI’s head of financial planning, policy & engagement said: “The CISI is proud to work with FPSB and its global network of organisations to celebrate World Financial Planning Day. We are also proud to support IOSCO’s World Investor Week to raise awareness about the importance of financial education and investor protection so individuals and families can achieve their life goals.
“Our WFPD activities for this year include raising awareness of financial planning by sharing resources across CISI social media channels as well as celebrating the annual initiative in-person at our flagship annual Financial Planning Conference 2025.”
Financial Planners can join the conversation on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube using the #WFPD2025 and #IOSCOWIW2025 hashtags.
The CISI announced the social media campaign ahead of today and tomorrow’s CISI Financial Planning Conference which will see over 300 Financial Planners descend on the De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor.
The event is the flagship Financial Planning gathering of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) which awards the Certified Financial Planner designation in the UK alongside other financial qualifications.
The CISI has more than 50,000 members.
