Mr Seagrove first met his two clients over 15 years ago.

They were running a very successful business in the construction industry, operating as a limited company, and he recommended they establish an employer-sponsored Small Self-Administered Scheme (SSAS) into which the company could make employer pension contributions on their behalf.

Meeting twice a year to maximise pension contributions, review the underlying investment portfolio and to discuss the progression of the financial plan and how this could be concluded has resulted in a long term and trusted relationship.

A clear strategy for the retention of additional cash was discussed along with the company’s objective to fund and build a commercial property. This was used to complement the commercial property they occupied and was held within the SSAS.

Now the planning is coming to fruition as the pair have decided to sell the business and it is time for Mr Seagrove to discuss exit strategies with the pair.
