The award is the highest level of this award available from Chwarae Teg, says Magenta, a CISI Accredited Financial Planning Firm with a mainly female workforce. Chwarae Teg means ‘Fair Play’ in English.
Chwarae Teg’s Exemplar Employer Award is presented to employers who have demonstrated commitment to “creating and sustaining a fair and inclusive workplace.”
The award is presented using anonymous feedback from existing employees, along with a review of working practices by a member of the Chwarae Teg Business Programme.
Magenta started to work with the charity in 2017 as part of the Agile Nation 2 project which is funded by the European Social Fund and Welsh Government. The Agile Nation 2 project helps women to achieve more by working with employers to implement modern working practices to improve equality, diversity and sustainability.
In 2017 Magenta was awarded the ‘Achieving’ status of the award and over the past year has worked hard to make some significant changes to improve working practices and team communication within the business – and on reassessment this year – has been awarded the higher level Leading award.
