Baroness Ros Altmann is due to give a prestigious lecture on pensions at London’s University of Westminster.

Baroness Ros Altman, a leading pensions campaigner and former Pensions Minister, is to become chair of pensionsync, a pensions fintech business.

Chancellor Philip Hammond is believed to be ready to ban pensions cold calling in his Autumn Statement on Wednesday (23 November) after a vociferous campaign by pensions campaigners and the financial services sector including a number of financial advisers including Darren Cooke of Red Circle Financial Planning.

Pension experts say it would be ‘unfair’ to rate the success of Ros Altmann’s time in office as Pensions Minister, saying she didn’t have the control or support needed to do the job.
