Financial education evangelist Warren Shute has won the coveted Certified Financial Planner of the Year Award in the annual CISI Financial Planning Awards.

The CISI is to make significant changes to the pathway to its Certified Financial Planner qualification but it will not be “watered down,” the incoming CISI head of Financial Planning Jacqueline Lockie told the annual conference this week.

The Financial Planning Standards Board, the global standards-setting body for the Certified Financial Planner designation, is to hold its first World Financial Planning Day on Wednesday 4 October.

CISI head of Financial Planning Campbell Edgar CFP^TM Chartered FCSI is to become an industry training consultant after stepping shortly from the CISI.
