CPI inflation fell from 3.4% in February to 3.2% in March, its lowest level for two and a half years, according to ONS figures published today.

CPI inflation, the main measure of inflation, dropped sharply in February to 3.4% from 4% in January, ONS said today.

The Consumer Prices Index 12 month rate held steady in January at 4% despite predictions from some of a rise to 4.1% or 4.2%.

Life expectancy in local areas of England, Northern Ireland and Wales fell between 2020 and 2022 compared to 2001 to 2003, according to the latest ONS data out today.
