The Personal Finance Society is planning to publish quarterly reports for members to enable them to better hold the organisation to account, CEO Donald MacIntyre has pledged. 

The Association of Member-Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS), the industry body for SIPP and SSAS providers, has voiced “deep concerns” about a big proposed rise in a DWP pension scheme levy which could hit SSAS providers and other small pension scheme in the pocket.

The Personal Finance Society was hit by soaring costs in 2022 as it spent heavily on legal and consultancy fees during its row with parent body the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Spending on new technology is the biggest driver of increased investment by adviser firms ahead of the implementation of Consumer Duty coming into effect from the end of July.
