An accounts manager who tried to hide the fact that restaurants had not given their staff workplace pensions has been ordered to pay £5,000.

Dominic Chappell, the director and majority shareholder of the company that bought BHS for £1, has been ordered to pay more than £124,000 for failing to hand over information to The Pensions Regulator (TPR). 

An accountant is to appear in court charged with fraud and making employer-related investments.

In a case brought by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), five individuals have been sentenced to a total of 17 and a half years’ imprisonment for their roles in a share fraud carried out through a series of boiler room companies, which led to the loss of more than £2.8m of investors’ money.
