WH Ireland shareholders have voted to back a £5m fund-raising move which will help stabilise finances at the troubled wealth manager and Financial Planner.

The Openwork Foundation, the charitable arm of adviser network Openwork, has marked its 40 year anniversary by revealing it has so far raised £20.8m for charity over four decades and helped more than 476,000 vulnerable people along the way. 

A fund raising page has been set up in memory of Curtis Banks communications director Greg Kingston who died tragically in July at the age of 47 in a holiday road accident.

AFH Financial Group, the Financial Planning-led wealth manager, is to raise up to £20 million on the stock market through a bond issue to fund future acquisitions and investment.
