Wealth manager and Financial Planner Titan Wealth is acquiring South Wales advice firm Thomas Carroll IFA, for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition from Thomas Carroll Group plc, is subject to regulatory approval.
Thomas Carroll IFA was established in Caerphilly in 1987 to provide Financial Planning advised solutions including retirement planning and pensions, trust and estate planning and investment management.
It manages more than £160m of assets under advice and has 450 clients with a team made up of three experienced financial advisers and five client service/account managers.
The firm is owned by UK insurance broker the Thomas Carroll Group, which became an employee-owned business in 2023.
Titan said the acquisition expands its existing presence in South Wales, with Thomas Carroll IFA staff joining Titan’s existing Welsh Hub, Nugenis, a trading style of Independent Wealth Partners (IWP), which is due to complete imminently, based in Cardiff.
The firm said the acquisition will enable Thomas Carroll IFA to offer a greater range of services to its clients.
Rhys Thomas, CEO of Thomas Carroll Group, said: “Having recently transitioned to employee ownership, the board has decided to divest its wealth management division to Titan Wealth, a trusted partner of ours for many years.
“The deal allows Thomas Carroll Group plc to focus on its core areas of strength, insurance, risk management, health & safety and employee benefits.”
