Sean Hagerty
Sean Hagerty has joined the board of wealth manager and Financial Planner Evelyn Partners as an independent non-executive director.
Mr Hagerty joins after 27 years at the Vanguard Group where he was managing director and head of Vanguard Europe for eight years before stepping down in December.
His tenure at Vanguard included responsibility for the launch of the US-owned fund manager’s restricted financial advice service for pension savers on Vanguard’s UK Personal Investor platform in 2021.
He has previously served on the FCA Practitioner Panel, the HM Treasury Asset Management Taskforce and was vice chair of the board of the Investment Association.
Prior to joining Vanguard, previous roles include time at PNC Bank and Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG).

Evelyn Partners has made several appointments to its board of directors in recent months.
In April the wealth manager and Financial Planner appointed former Paysafe and Betfair CFO Alex Gersh as its new chief financial officer and an executive director.
Evelyn Partners had £63bn of assets under management as at 31 December 2024.
In March it reported a 12% rise in profits for 2024 despite a 68% drop in net inflows (year-on-year).
In the first quarter it appointed a new Financial Planning director for its London team, as well as two Financial Planners and an investment manager to its Leeds and Newcastle offices.
In December it added a new Financial Planner in London to boost its near 300-strong national Financial Planning team.
