The five new portfolios - 'Blackrock Consensus Funds' - will offer exposure to the UK and international equities markets and fixed income instruments.
Funds invest in a range of index tracker funds, providing diversified exposure at a lower cost than core portfolio allocations.
Research by Blackrock in June found that 36 per cent of financial advisers were intending to increase their use of index tracker funds.
The new range will be managed by the Blackrock Multi-Asset client solution team and has an independent risk-rating out of 10.

The five funds are Blackrock Consensus 35, Blackrock Consensus 60, Blackrock Consensus 70, Blackrock Consensus 85 and Blackrock Consensus 100. These are risk-rated five to seven respectively and have an annual charge of 20 basis points.
