Bridget Greenwood, president of Financial Social Media, came up with the idea as a way for Financial Planners to share their positive wishes.
The website, getwellsoonnick.co.uk, went live this morning and has already received many messages for people in the industry.
Comments have been written by Financial Planners such as Joss Harwood CFP^CM and Pete Matthew CFP^CM, Justin Urquhart Stewart from Seven Investment Management and Financial Planner Ray Griffin in Australia.
Visitors are invited to write a comment, share a picture or do a video for Mr Cann.

Mr Cann has been taking time out from his role at the IFP since been taken ill at the beginning of April.
Ms Greenwood said: "My first hand experience of Nick is that he's always been really helpful and I've never had an encounter with him that hasn't been positive.
"It's nice to read messages from other people and what they are saying and this will give people the opportunity to say get well soon to Nick."
Mr Cann's wife Jo saw the website in the morning and tweeted to say that it was a "lovely idea" and that she would be showing the messages to Mr Cann later.
Sue Whitbread, IFP communications director, said: "It's a really lovely idea that we're delighted to see, it shows the type of person that Nick is that people have taken the time and effort to set this up and comment on it. Nick is a popular character, he will take great delight in reading the comments and hopefully it will spur him on to a faster recovery."
