Gary Shaughnessy, chief executive at Zurich UK Life, said Zurich Horizon Investment Solutions has been designed to help customers and advisers understand and protect themselves from risk.

It is aimed at addressing the FCA's concerns regarding suitability and 'shoehorning'.
Mr Shaughnessy said: "This is all about simplifying and streamlining the investment selection process and delivering outcomes that advisers and their clients expect.
"We know that the complexity of investments can be a barrier for new clients to enter the market so it is essential that providers introduce solutions that make the discussion about fund selection and associated risks clearer and more straightforward to give customers real choice and peace-of-mind."
He added that it focuses on supporting advisers, making conversations about asset allocation, fund suitability, returns and risk easier.
The first proposition unveiled within Zurich Horizon Investment Solutions is a new range of funds, using the expertise of Threadneedle Investments. It consists of five multi-asset, risk profiled funds which aim to provide growth, over the long term, while remaining within a given risk profile.
