A Financial Planning firm has promoted one of its bosses to head of investment management 17 years after he began with the company on a work experience placement.
Miles Robinson has shown the value of getting a foot in the door after he was handed the new role at Tilney, taking charge of 40 investment managers in London.
A statement from Tilney read: “Miles initially joined Tilney in 1999 on work experience placement, and over seventeen years has covered a number of roles within the company.
“Previously head of Tilney for Intermediaries along with head of the Birmingham office, Miles will now operate from the firm’s Mayfair office and report into Alan Edwards, head of investment management in England.”
The company has also appointed Adam Parker to the role of head of midlands investment management. A Chartered Financial Analyst, Adam has been a Director of Tilney since 2008 and has worked closely alongside Mr Robinson over this time. He will continue to work from the group’s Birmingham office and will also report into Mr Edwards.
