A deal to acquire Manchester-based The Roberts Partnership, which has seven advisers, was revealed this morning, though no details of a fee were disclosed.
Ian Sackfield, chief executive at Brown Shipley, said: “Following on from our acquisition of Hampton Dean last year and KBL epb’s acquisition of Insinger de Beaufort, it further supports our growth plans, particularly in terms of enhancing our wealth planning proposition to meet the current and future needs of our clients.
“The two businesses have natural synergies, in particular a shared emphasis on leading with advice for clients, so I am confident the new team will make an important contribution to Brown Shipley and its future success.”
The acquisition is expected to be complete on 1 November 2016.
Once completed, The Roberts Partnership, which has £450m FUM, will become a subsidiary of Brown Shipley and will ultimately join its Manchester office based in Spinningfields, Hardman Street.

Over 200 years old, Brown Shipley provides investment management, wealth management and private banking services to a range of clients.
