AFH Financial has struck a deal worth up to £1.24million to buy Taylor Frost Wealth Management.
Keith Taylor, managing director, whose career stretches back to the 1970s, when he first started to help doctors with their Financial Planning, will join AFH as an adviser.
Alan Hudson, chief executive of AFH, said: "Keith has built a strong reputation in the medical and dental sectors which I believe will enable AFH to build a specialised service to this sector on a national scale."
Mr Taylor has written hundreds of articles for journals, his firm said, including for doctors GP Magazine, Medeconomics, Health and Aging, The Physician and the Journal of Hospital Medicine. He has been commissioned also by The Dentist, BDA News, MADRAS Reports, Probe, Dental Practice and Dentistry Monthly over the years.
Mr Taylor is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds the Diploma in Financial Planning.
AFH, which describes itself as a Financial Planning-led wealth management firm, will pay £595,000 initially.
This is AFH's fourth acquisition of the current financial year.
Taylor Frost, based in South West London, offers advice on personal pensions, estate planning and IHT among other areas.
Taylor Frost will add approximately £45m to AFH's funds under management.
Today’s deal follows the acquisitions of Aberdeen Wealth Management and Shield Direct earlier this month.
