The Liontrust Sustainable Investment Team will continue to run all 11 funds, with no changes to processes, says the company.

Liontrust says it believes the acquisition will enable Liontrust to meet growing demand for sustainable investment. The acquisition will add £2.5bn to the group’s assets under management.

The investment team, headed by Peter Michaelis, and 11 sustainable investment funds have joined Liontrust as part of the acquisition. All 11 funds will continue to be run by the same managers and will use the same investment process as before.

The Liontrust Sustainable Investment Team brings with it a range of existing equity and fixed income funds and a long-term track record. Mr Michaelis was at Aviva Investors, including as head of sustainable and responsible investment, for 11 years before moving to ATI in August 2012.
