Fund manager JO Hambro Capital Management has appointed Bill Street as its new chief executive officer, subject to regulatory approval.

He will replace Clare Forster and the appointment is effective from today.

The company said the move is part of a refreshed group strategy from JOHCM’s parent company Perpetual Limited, with an investment in the senior leadership of JO Hambro to drive growth in the boutique.

Mr Street brings more than 34 years of investment management experience to the new role, with a career spanning leadership and advisory roles across all asset classes and multi asset strategies for firms including State Street Global Advisors, Quintet Private Bank, Unicredito, and JP Morgan.

He was most recently at PwC which he joined in January 2023 as chief investment officer, becoming asset wealth management lead of value creation and restructuring in July 2023.

He spent three years as group chief investment officer at Quintet Private Bank and 13 years at State Street, ending as head of investment, EMEA.

He began his career as a graduate trainee at JP Morgan in 1992 before working as a derivatives trader at a number of firms including Bank Indosuez, Commerzbank and Bankgesellschaft Berlin.

Clare Forster joined JO Hambro in January 2023 after having held senior leadership roles at Jupiter Asset Management, GAM and Janus Henderson. She will remain at the firm on the executive committee, supporting Mr Street in his transition to CEO and she will continue to serve on her existing group entity board roles.

It was founded in 1993 and in 2003 became part of Australia-based Perpetual Limited, a global multi-boutique asset manager founded in 1886. It has offices in London, Singapore, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Dublin, Paris, Frankfurt, Zug, Prague and the Netherlands.
