Mr Butler said: "I have enjoyed my years at Bloomsbury immensely and deciding to leave the firm was a very difficult decision to make. “However, after 17 years at the helm and 25 years as an adviser, I’ve decided that I want to focus the bulk of my time and energy on writing, public speaking and financial education activity. Having worked with Carolyn and Robert for many years, I am confident that I am leaving the business in good hands and it will continue to prosper in the years ahead.”

The company was established in 1998.

Since 2005 the firm has operated as an independent contractor branch of Raymond James Investment Services, which is the subsidiary of the large quoted US financial services organisation Raymond James Financial.
