The performance of active equity managers improved substantially in the first half of 2023.

The best-performing investment sector for the first half of 2023 was the Technology & Technology Innovation TR sector which showed an overall rise of 24.83%, according to data from FE Analytics.

Government Bonds were the top selling sector for fund sales in May, with net retail sales of £658m.

UK investors put £2.8bn into funds in April – a £1bn increase on March and the highest level since August 2021, according to Investment Association figures.
