The Bank of England has maintained the base rate at 0.5% after a unanimous Monetary Police Committee decision to hold rates.

The Bank of England has today kept its base rate at 0.5% after doubling the rate last month from 0.25% to 0.5% - the first increase for a decade.

The Bank of England has today increased its base rate by 25 basis points from 0.25% to 0.5% - the first increase for 10 years.
