The Certified Financial Planner designation, the global qualification for Financial Planners, has been extended to Financial Planners in Italy.

The Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB), the global Financial Planning professional body, has launched a major update to its global Financial Planning standards to take account of evolving technology and trends in the profession.

After years in the doldrums, the number of CFP Professionals in the UK grew by 6.3% over the past year, the CISI has reported.

The number of Certified Financial Planner professionals worldwide has topped 213,000 for the first time - a 10-fold increase since 1990 when the qualification first went international.
