Nick Allen
Investment manager 7IM has appointed Nick Allen as chief integration officer to onboard future acquisitions as it continues to look towards inorganic growth.
Mr Allen joins from Schroders Personal Wealth where he was chief operating officer. He has over 30 years of financial services experience with former roles including chief operating officer for group transformation at Lloyds Banking Group.
He will report to CEO Dean Proctor and hold responsibility for onboarding and the ‘harmonisation’ of recent and future acquisitions. He will drive alignment of propositions, capabilities and processes across the firms to embed best practices and deliver a consistent experience for all 7IM clients.
7IM and its Financial Planning subsidiaries have made a number of acquisitions in recent months.
Partners Wealth Management, part of the 7IM group, acquired Aberdeen-based Johnston Carmichael Wealth for an undisclosed sum in March, bringing in around £855m in assets for around 1,500 private clients.
In November 7IM struck a deal to buy LYNC Wealth Management and Rockhold Asset Management from Adviser Service Holdings. The deal brings over 28 financial advisers to 7IM.
Mr Proctor said Mr Allen’s appointment marked the movement into the next phase of the firm’s growth plans and that his experience will help the firm “unlock synergies and greater scale”.
Mr Allen said: “Having led a number of complex transformation and integration programmes over the years, I understand how powerful it can be when people, systems, and processes all come together.
“I look forward to working with Dean and the team to support 7IM’s growth and ambitions.”
