The Professional Adviser awards took place at the London Hilton on 9 February, recognising the ‘brightest stars’ of the financial services industry.

Walking away with a trophy were a series of Financial Planners including Pete Matthew CFP^CM and Paraplanner Cathi Harrison CFP^CM.

Mr Matthew was recognised for his financial education work with the Baillie Gifford Financial Education Award while Ms Harrison won Paraplanner of the Year.

IFP chief executive Nick Cann extended his congratulations to Mr Matthew, Ms Harrison, Phil Calvert from IFA Life who won personality of the year and Old Mill Financial Planning who won small adviser firm of the year.

IFP sponsors such as M&G, Vanguard Asset Management and Standard Life also picked up awards for best UK growth group, best new fund launch and best Sipp provider respectively.
