Debbie Seaton, chair of AMPS
The Association of Member-Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS), the SIPP and SSAS providers' trade body, has reappointed Debbie Seaton of Seabridge SSAS as its chair.
The appointment means Ms Seaton, who took over from Andrew Phipps in 2024, will continue to serve as chair for a second term.
Jon Cuin of Barnett Waddingham will continue in the role of honorary secretary, while Joy West of Hartsfield Trustee Services will hand over the membership secretary role to Roger Howman of SSAS Reviews.
Ms West is taking on the treasurer role, which was vacated by Tasneem Ul-Haq, who has left the AMPS committee after nine years.
Further changes to the AMPS committee have seen former chair Andrew Phipps standing down as he moves to a new role in the industry and the arrival of Hannah Davies from Enhance Support Solutions.
Following the AMPS AGM held at IET London on 4 November, the committee will comprise nine representatives from across the industry:
- Debbie Seaton of Seabridge SSAS Limited (AMPS chairperson)
- Jon Cuin of Barnett Waddingham LLP (honorary secretary)
- Joy West of Hartsfield Trustee Services Ltd (treasurer)
- Roger Howman of SSAS Reviews Ltd (membership secretary).
- Sarah Hawkins of Punter Southall SIPP Limited (chair of the compliance and technical subcommittee)
- Jade Murray of Addleshaw Goddard LLP (chair of the legal subcommittee)
- Samina Kasaur of SECCL Custody Ltd
- Kevin Whitmore of WBR Group Limited
- Hannah Davies of Enhance Support Solutions Ltd
Debbie Seaton, the chair of AMPS, said: “A massive thank you to Andrew and Tasneem for their time with the AMPS committee and the contributions they’ve made. Tasneem has served in the role of Treasurer for many years and of course Andrew served as chair, taking over from Martin Tilley at a time when the pension industry was going through significant changes.
"It is wonderful to welcome Hannah to the committee – she will bring a wealth of new ideas and thoughts.”
The AMPS Committee includes senior executives in the sector as well as pensions consultants and lawyers. The aim of the association is to be the principal body for the SIPPs and SSAS sector and engage with government departments.
