Bath-based Financial Planner and wealth manager Fidelius has launched a joint venture wealth firm with London law firm Lawrence Stephens.
The new venture, known as LS Wealth, is a trading style of Fidelius.
The firms said the new business would combine Lawrence Stephens’ full-service legal expertise with Fidelius’s growing, objective-based Financial Planning business to create an integrated experience for clients.
Fidelius is headquartered in Bath but has a national footprint with offices in Bath, Cheltenham, Chelmsford, London and Nottingham.
The business has seen significant recent expansion with the backing of Swedish wealth group Sӧderberg & Partners, which took a stake in Fidelius in 2024.
Steve Skelding, head of commercial at Fidelius, said: “We are excited to have the opportunity to work closely with the skilled professionals at Lawrence Stephens as we launch our new venture, LS Wealth.
“There is a close cultural fit between our two businesses, rooted in client service. Our brands also feel aligned in terms of our commercial approach, so we look forward to seeing what we can achieve as we join forces in this way.”
Lawrence Stephens is a fast-growing, full-service law firm with, what it describes as an entrepreneurial outlook. Its clients include privately owned, founder-led and private equity-backed businesses, challenger banks and financial institutions, as well as the individuals who own and manage these.
Launched in 1998, Fidelius has grown significantly through organic and M&A expansion with support of Nordic-based Sӧderberg & Partners.
Last year Fidelius became an exclusive partner to the British Medical Association, providing access to financial advice to its 200,000 members.
This year, Fidelius appointed Paul Gordon who joined from Atomos Wealth to head Fidelius’ specialist medical wealth planning arm. Sophie Stradins also joined the business as a financial adviser to support Fidelius’ expansion into the North West.
Recently, Fidelius announced its sponsorship of Row for Life, a three-woman Pacific crossing to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
