Financial Planners could face a potential ‘capacity crunch’ as clients demand more frequent pension drawdown reviews in future, platform provider Zurich has warned.

The number of pension withdrawals continued to soar in the third quarter of 2018 leading to suggestions that some pensions savers are treating their pensions like bank accounts, tapping them for cash when they need it.

There is a growing trend for advisers to take on more work themselves and manage the investments of their clients in retirement in separate pots, an asset management firm has found.

A petition against scrapping the pensions dashboard has garnered more than 100,000 signatures.
