Lucy Bristow has been appointed chief operating office of national Financial Planning firm One Four Nine Group.
She joined the Chartered Financial Planning firm from FNZ where she spent eight months as client director of the platform engine.
Ms Bristow has 30 years of experience in the financial advice sector, including seven years at Wealthtime where she held multiple senior roles including deputy CEO, managing director and chief customer officer.
Other previous roles included six years at Ascentric where she was head of customer services. She entered the financial advice sector in 1998 at James Hay where over a decade she worked her way up to head of operations.
Ms Bristow said: “One Four Nine Group is an exciting business with strong momentum, clear ambition and a talented leadership team. I’m looking forward to working closely with my new colleagues to further strengthen operational capability and support the next phase of the company’s growth.”
She also currently serves as co-chair of the transfers committee of the Platforms Association, which fosters industry collaboration, strategic initiatives and policy engagement.

One Four Nine was launched in October 2021 with the acquisition of three well-established wealth management business. One Four Nine Wealth is the Group’s Financial Planning arm, operating alongside One Four Nine Portfolio Management to form a wealth planning firm with in-house Discretionary Investment Manager services.
The firm’s recent acquisitions include York-based Mowatt Financial Planning and Scotland-based McCrea Financial Services. In December it opened a new office in Glasgow to spearhead growth in Scotland.
The business has a team of over 30 Financial Planners and more than 5,500 clients with assets of £2.2bn.
