Adviser software provider Intelliflo has acquired fund comparison provider Mabel Insights for an undisclosed sum, bringing its research, portfolio analysis and Financial Planning tools inside Intelliflo office.
Intelliflo said the service would remain free to advisers following the acquisition, which completed on 30 September.
Mabel Insights operates a database in the UK for managed portfolio services and offers portfolio comparison and analysis alongside cashflow modelling, risk profiling and digital fact-find. It is already integrated with Intelliflo office.
By acquiring the business, Intelliflo said it can now invest in developing the proposition and deepen the integration with Intelliflo office beyond what the partnership allows.
The firm said the move continues its strategy of building an open, intelligent platform that helps advisers evidence good client outcomes and meet their regulatory obligations.
Nick Eatock, CEO and co-founder of Intelliflo, said: “We’ve partnered with Mabel since 2024 and watched advisers come to depend on it as one of the most important research and planning businesses in the advice market.
“As part of Intelliflo, we can invest further in Mabel’s functionality and embed it into Intelliflo office, giving advisers whole-of-market research and due diligence as a core workflow rather than a separate exercise. It remains free to advisers and strengthens our open, intelligent platform for financial advice.”
Lawrence Cook, CEO, Mabel Insights, said: “We built Mabel Insights to make high-quality research and planning accessible to every adviser. Our integration with intelliflo showed us how much further that could go when the tools sit inside the system advisers work in all day. Joining intelliflo lets us take the mission further and faster."
Intelliflo says it supports more than 29,000 advice professionals, representing around £505bn in assets under advice and serving more than 2.2m clients.
Mabel Insights provides model portfolio service and multi-fund comparison as well as a range of other adviser tools and services. Since it launched in January 2024, Mabel has been adopted by over 2,800 firms supported by over 30 discretionary managers.
