ISA and SIPP manager manager Jarvis Investment Management Limited has entered special administration this week as the firm closes its doors.
The reasons for the failure have not been made clear but the firm has been under special restrictions from the FCA since 2022.
The direct to consumer part of the business was sold to Interactive Investor in 2025 and the firm had links to other businesses, providing ISA and SIPP management and stockbroking to other providers.
Adam Stephens and Philip Hemming of S&W Partners LLP were this week appointed as special administrators of the business which was based in Royal Tunbridge Wells but registered in the City of London.
Jarvis Investment (FRN 116413) was FCA authorised and was regulated to provide wealth management services.
On 16 September 2022, the firm agreed to a voluntary requirement with the FCA, which restricted the activities it could carry out without FCA consent.
The firm failure is being referred to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
During its history the firm traded under many names including shareDeal active, X-O.co.uk, sellmysharecertificates.com and Dial-n-Deal as well as Jarvis Investment Management.
The firm was in business for over 30 years and at its peak said it had more than 50 staff. It offered stockbroking and administration services and solutions to third parties and was a member of the London Stock Exchange. It was an approved as a HM Revenue & Customs ISA Manager.
The parent company, Jarvis Securities plc, was listed on AIM.
During its history Jarvis provided admin services to many IFAs, stockbrokers, asset managers, investment companies and banks. It also acted a retail execution only stockbroker and ISA Manager for several providers, according to its LinkedIn entry.
