He will head the growth of Brown Shipley and lead the bank’s team of client advisers across the UK.
He will report to Alan Mathewson, CEO at Brown Shipley which is owned by Quintet Private Bank.
He has worked in financial services for 25 years and was managing director and head of regions, UK at Julius Baer.
He previously held senior roles at Barclays Wealth, Lloyds Banking Group and Scottish Widows. He also held a voluntary role as chair of the Private Client Investment Managers Group for Scottish Enterprise.
Mr Mathewson said: “Calum’s CV and expertise speaks for itself and his appointment is a real statement of our intent to deliver our strategic growth strategy. I am confident that his experience means he is ideally placed to help lead us through this next stage of our transformation, as we work more closely with colleagues across Quintet to bring the whole of the bank to our clients.”

Mr Brewster’s appointment is the latest in a number of senior hires at Brown Shipley including the following who report to him: Matt Hoyne, head of Edinburgh office; Elizabeth Weir, head of London and International; Martin Cuthbert, head of Manchester office and Gordon Scott, head of strategic partnerships and entrepreneurs network.
