Platform and SIPP provider AJ Bell has acquired the mobile phone fintech Adalpha to boost its digital offering to financial advisers.

Baroness Helena Morrissey has stepped down as a non-executive director at wealth manager St James’s Place after 14 months to become chair at investment platform AJ Bell.

Transact has kept its spot as top adviser platform in terms of net sales in 2020, according to data from platform and fund research house Fundscape.
