Chartered Financial Planner Scott Newman has joined national IFA Continuum to strengthen its presence in the Scottish Highlands.

National IFA Continuum has increased its number of advisers by 15% to 70 over the past year, according to figures released by the company this week.

The amount of inheritance tax paid on gifts has climbed more than 153% since 2011 to £256m in the 2020-21 tax year, according to an HM Revenue & Customs response to an Freedom of Information (FOI) request.

Plymouth-based national IFA firm Continuum has reported assets under influence up 22% year on year to £1.86bn.
