With political parties due to unveil their election manifestos ahead of the 12 December General Election AJ Bell has launched its own election wish list.

The majority (84%) of financial advisers questioned in a survey believe Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) have become “too complicated.”

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) has urged product providers, financial advisers and the FCA to ensure Innovative Finance ISAs are designed and promoted in a way that “will not exploit known behavioural biases”.

Andy Bell, chief executive of AJ Bell, has written to Sajid Javid, the new Chancellor of the Exchequer, calling on him to “radically simplify” the rules around ISAs.
