Quilter, one of the largest advice firms in the UK, has cut its number of restricted advisers over the past year by 141 from 1,842 to 1,701, it revealed in its latest interim results out today.

Wealth manager and Financial Planner Quilter is partnering with mental health support company Spill to offer free online talks to its advisers.

Quilter says it will cut a “small number” of “restricted Financial Planners” following a dip in profits.

Assets under management and administration (AUMA) at wealth manager Quilter rose 7% year on year to £117.8bn at the end of December despite a drop in gross sales.
