Seven Investment Management (7IM) has hired its third chief investment officer in a year.

A number of platform providers have given a broad welcome to today’s publication of the FCA’s interim market study into investment platforms which calls for a shake-up of the sector to improve competition.

7IM boosted profits and assets for the year ending 31 December 2017, according to its latest annual results.

Justin Urquhart Stewart, director and co-founder of investment provider 7IM, said that the UK economy was weakening and the economic cycle - and not Brexit - was the main culprit although he agreed Brexit had unnerved international investors.
