The Personal Finance Society has welcomed a boost this week to Government-backed apprenticeships for SMEs which could help with personal finance recruitment.

Adviser network Sesame Bankhall Group (SBG) has unveiled a new apprenticeship scheme in partnership with financial training school Simply Academy.

Financial Planning firms are to be offered up to £9,600 if they take on an adviser apprentice.

Cashflow modelling has been included among the key competencies required of trainee advisers entering a new national Government apprenticeship scheme.
