A 26 year-old investment manager is celebrating becoming a Chartered Wealth Manager - the highest level of professional qualification in his field.
Robert Feather, from Leeds-based boutique investment firm Myddleton Croft, has successfully completed the CISI qualification.
Mr Feather, who joined the firm in 2013 after gaining a Northumbria University degree in Economics and Geography, obtained the regulatory benchmark Level 4 CFA Investment Management Certificate soon after joining. He chose to go on to study for the CISI Level 7 Diploma.
He said: “It’s never easy to study for professional qualifications whilst also having a demanding job, but I’ve been very fortunate that Myddleton Croft recognised my potential when I was fresh out of University and they have done all they can to support me. I’m looking forward to repaying their faith in me and their investment in helping me through the last four years by continuing to develop my career with them.”
He works alongside investment director Patrick Toes in managing around 400 client portfolios. His previous experience includes 18 months working as a project manager during his final year at Northumbria University and for a short time after graduating.
Mr Toes, investment director at Myddleton Croft, said: “We are so proud of Rob, as a small team we have a very personal commitment to nurturing younger members and we have all been impressed by Rob’s single-minded determination and hard work.
“It is an extremely tough qualification to gain, and well deserved recognition of Rob’s talents.”
Myddleton Croft has a nine-strong team, working with independent financial advisers, solicitors and accountants. It serves private clients, charities, pension funds and trusts.
