The Personal Finance Society and parent body the Chartered Insurance Institute celebrated the graduation of 110 new Chartered Financial Planners at their annual graduation ceremony in Westminster last week.
The professional body also awarded 99 new Fellowships of the PFS, 20 Fellowships of the CII, 75 Associates of the CII, 13 Chartered Insurance Brokers, 13 Chartered Insurance Practitioners, 4 Chartered Insurance Underwriting Agents and 13 Chartered Insurers.
The PFS now has over 8,600 Chartered Financial Planners and 4,000 Fellows.
Kate Gannon, President of the PFS, said at the graduation ceremony: “Achieving Fellowship of the PFS or gaining Chartered status with us is the pinnacle of our profession, and I know from my own experience just how much hard work and commitment is needed to achieve them.
“Late nights, early mornings and weekends of study may feel like a huge sacrifice, but this has led you all here today and you should each be extremely proud of your incredible achievements.”
The PFS has also recognised its Apprenticeship and Qualification award winners.
The Financial Adviser Apprentice of the Year was awarded to Jasper Howe. The Paraplanner Apprentice of the Year was awarded to Luke Viner.
Last week the 120,000 member Chartered Insurance Institute picked Financial Planning director Debbie Mitchell to be its next President for 2027 at its AGM in London.
