Quilter Financial Planning, the advice network arm of wealth manager Quilter, has appointed Warren Vickers as managing director.
He replaces Steve Fryett who will retire in the summer.
Mr Vickers is currently commercial director of Quilter Financial Planning and will also assume oversight of the firm’s national advice business Quilter Financial Advisers.
He joined Quilter last year from The Openwork Partnership where he was commercial director.
He has extensive experience in the financial advice sector, including previous roles as managing director at Tenet Group, where he was responsible for its DA support business and the groups proposition, sales and marketing divisions. He was also a director at TCC Group.
Mr Fryett said: “When Steve Gazard asked me to return to Quilter in 2022 it was always for a limited period of time before I would ‘hang up my boots’, which has allowed us to properly plan succession.
“Over the past few years, we’ve worked hard to get the network back into growth and during this period I’ve had the privilege of working with an incredibly dedicated leadership team and a talented network of advisers who care deeply about delivering great outcomes for clients.”
The appointment is one of several of a series of changes to senior roles within its distribution team as Quilter looks to expand its adviser network and national business.
From April, Amanda Cassidy, currently managing director of Quilter Financial Advisers, will take on a new role as managing director of Quilter Academy and adviser development.
Assets under management and administration rose 5% (from 30 September) to £141.2bn, with market movements contributing £4.1bn. Assets at 31 December represent a growth of 18% over the year.
The growth in net inflows was driven by Quilter’s affluent segment, with the Quilter Platform having a strong quarter. The platform reported net inflows of £2.4bn in comparison to £1.9bn in the fourth quarter of 2024, an increase of 26%.
