Pension and investment planning software provider Selectapension has introduced fund and model portfolio service (MPS) research capabilities to its Portfolio Insight software.
The company said the addition would complement its portfolio comparison and due diligence functionality.
It said the enhancement would allow Financial Planners and advisers to identify suitable investments, compare solutions and produce fully evidenced client recommendations within a single integrated system.
It said Financial Planners and advisers will be able to research thousands of funds and MPS using a range of investment criteria, including universe and availability, investment sectors, costs and fees, asset content and equity exposure, fund attributes, performance metrics, Alpha, Beta, Sharpe Ratio, Standard Deviation, and fund characteristics.
The company said suitable investments can be compared alongside existing portfolios, allowing advisers to assess performance, volatility, charges, holdings, asset allocation and overall suitability before generating professional audit reports and client-ready recommendation documents.
Adrian Malin, managing director of Selectapension, said: "When we launched Portfolio Insight, our ambition was to make portfolio comparison and investment due diligence simpler, faster and more transparent for financial advisers.”
The company launched its Portfolio Insight tool in April 2025.
Mr Malin said: “By bringing the entire investment research process together in one platform, we're helping advisers spend less time navigating multiple systems and more time delivering well-evidenced, suitable outcomes for their clients.
“As regulatory expectations continue to evolve, having a clear, consistent and fully auditable investment process has never been more important."
