The St James’s Place Charitable Foundation has surpassed the £150m milestone for its charitable giving.
The Foundation raises money from the wealth manager’s adviser partners, employees and community, including corporate matching.
Established in 1992, the Foundation funds charitable projects in the UK which focus on young people experiencing disadvantage, mental health, end of life care, living with cancer, and financial wellbeing.
So far the Foundation claims to have supported over 7m people.
This year has seen the SJP Foundation establish a new financial wellbeing fund, started by SJP gifting £500,000.
It also plans to raise a further £500,000 via a Big Give Christmas Challenge with funding designated for the hospice sector.
Mark FitzPatrick, CEO of St James’s Place, said: “We are all very proud of our Charitable Foundation. This milestone provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on the impact the Foundation has had on so many people. Its success is thanks to the efforts and generosity of the SJP community and I’m pleased that we’re also able to continue contributing directly as the corporate donor.
“Our Foundation is a key thread that binds our community together, with partners, colleagues and clients all doing their bit. It's something we can identify with collectively and know that getting involved alongside likeminded people with shared values can create lasting change.”
SJP marked the £150m milestone by hosting a Foundation Fortnight, where employees, partners, charity partners, and sponsors came together for two weeks of celebrations in offices across the country.
SJP has agreed to double its matching of all monies raised across the fortnight, resulting in a combined total of more than £500,000 for the Foundation.
