Suffolk Life will be holding a series of roadshows around the UK this spring to share knowledge with Financial Planners on pensions.
The roadshows, for Financial Planners and Paraplanners, will cover upcoming changes to pensions and what is happening across the pensions market.
Chairing the roadshows will be Padraig Floyd, the former editor of Pensions Management.
Speakers will include Rollo Wilson on using property and pension as cashflow for small businesses and Claire Brooks on end of year tax planning. There will also be a speaker on platforms and the platform market pre and post-RDR.
Greg Kingston, head of marketing at Suffolk Life, said: “2011 brought unprecedented change for pensions and there’s every indication that 2012, a year when the final preparation for the RDR is needed by all, will bring more of the same.
“With predictions already being made that a third of Sipp providers could start to disappear from this year, advisers need to know how to assess the providers they are dealing with and the options for moving.”
The roadshows will begin in Ipswich on 21 February and end in Haydock, Merseyside on 14 March. The other eight cities are London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Bristol, Exeter, Birmingham and Harrogate. Sessions last 2.5hrs.
