Wealth manager and Financial Planner Titan Wealth has launched a dedicated sports division to support professional athletes and sports organisations/executives with financial planning, career transition and corporate benefits.
The sports team includes advisers with first-hand experience in playing and advising professional sportsmen and women.
Titan Wealth’s Financial Adviser Academy will support athletes as they prepare for a transition into financial services careers. The 18-24 month programme designed specially for athletes, will provide fully funded qualifications alongside on-the-job training.
The new division will also work with sports clubs and organisations to deliver tailored corporate benefits programmes including workplace pension arrangements, key person insurance, healthcare and wellbeing initiatives.
Ethan Waller, sports wealth adviser at Titan Wealth, said: “Having spent more than a decade playing professional rugby, I know first-hand how important it is to plan for the future while you are still competing. Many athletes focus entirely on performance in the moment, but having the right financial guidance and support early in your career can make a huge difference later on in life.
“The Sports Division is about giving players the knowledge, tools and opportunities they need to succeed both on and off the pitch.”
In January Titan Wealth competed its acquisition of IWP, adding £6.9bn of client assets and bringing the firm’s total assets to £44bn.
The acquisition has added IWP’s two trading businesses (IWP Financial Planning Limited and IWP Investment Management Limited) to Titan Wealth.
IWP will now be integrated into Titan Wealth, and will also work closely with Titan Wealth’s other financial advisory businesses, including Titan Wealth Planning.
London-based Titan Wealth was formed in 2021 and has four main divisions, platform, custody, discretionary fund management and Financial Planning. Its Financial Planning division is made up of Titan Financial Planning Ltd (formerly Goldsborough Wealth), Telford Mann Ltd and Prism Financial Advice Ltd.
In its announcement of the completion of the deal, Titan Wealth also said that it plans on further international expansion for later this year, as well as looking for more acquisitions in the UK and abroad.
