Evelyn Partners has appointed Aaron Mcloughlin as partner in Financial Planning at its Southampton office.
He joins the firm after five years at James Hambro & Partners, where he was director of Financial Planning.
Mr Mcloughlin has nearly 15 years' experience of delivering private client and wealth management advice, with earlier roles at Rathbones and Kleinwort Benson.
He is a Chartered Financial Planner, Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP), and Taxation Technician who is progressing towards Chartered Tax Adviser status. In his new role he will report directly to Mark Wilkins, managing partner for the Southampton office.
Emma Sterland, chief Financial Planning director of Evelyn Partners, said: “Aaron brings technical expertise, leadership experience, and high-net-worth client advisory skills that will strengthen the Southampton team as Mark Wilkins drives growth in our presence across the region.”
Mr Mcloughlin said: “Having built my career working with clients mainly across London and the South, I am looking forward to deepening my focus closer to home by joining Evelyn Partners’ Southampton office.
“The area is home to exceptional families, business owners, and a brilliant network of private client lawyers, accountants, and tax advisers.”
Privately-owned Evelyn Partners was sold to banking giant NatWest by private equity firm Permira and minority owner Warburg Pincus.
Evelyn Partners itself was created through the merger of Tilney and Smith & Williamson in 2020. It has a network of offices in 21 towns and cities in the UK and £69bn of assets under management (as at 31 December, 2025).
