Fears that the Pensions Dashboard plans have been shelved by the Government were allayed after Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Esther McVey, appeared this week to back the scheme.

A survey of around 400 financial advisers has found “huge variations” in the way firms carry out an initial ‘triage’ process when clients ask about pension transfers. 

A document, released under freedom of information laws, has shown The Pensions Regulator has called on pension schemes to cut transfer values.

Reports that the Government was considering a ‘Care ISA’ as part of its forthcoming Green Paper on Social Care have drawn sharp criticism from the profession.
