There is a growing trend for advisers to take on more work themselves and manage the investments of their clients in retirement in separate pots, an asset management firm has found.

Thesis Asset Management has launched a report on decumulation for financial advisers called: ‘Decumulation – the usual suspects: Sequencing risk and other unhelpful side effects’.

In the final report of its inquiry into Pension freedom and choice published today, the Work and Pensions Committee has called for a package of measures to create better informed, more engaged pensions savers, and a “default decumulation pathway” to protect the less engaged.
