Nearly one in three men (32%) have the financial foundation to retire early compared to just one in six (16%) of women, according to a new report.

The pandemic is not over yet, far from it, and it is too early to predict the long term impact but if there is one certainty it is that many people’s retirement plans are changing.

One in eight workers over 50 have changed their retirement plans as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). 

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has warned that retirees are being tempted to put money into investment products claiming to offer high returns due to the prolonged low interest savings environment.
